the rest of the elements and minerals necessary for advance life took 9.2 billion years to create via the fusion of stars and the collapse and expansion of supernova-the max amount of such at just the time the earth was formed
stars much bigger than the sun after fusing up the periodic table to iron will end up either as neutron stars(just collapsing)nova or supernova (exploding and creating the heaviest elements including the radioactive elements necessary for advanced life via driving plate tectonics and assisting the magnetic field
but these explosions are lethal to life so you have to be at just the right distance -not too close and not to far - to reap the benefits - 1 of ca 1000 plus just right coincidences necessary to create just one planet which supports advanced life
a couple more-advanced life can only exist in an elliptical galaxy far removed from collisions with other large galaxies but accreting/absorbing a dwarf galaxy every billion? years to drive new star formation and the circular motion of the galaxy.
the local group which the milky way belongs to is the only grouping of galaxies which meets all these requirements
also for advanced life the planet has to be just the right distance from just the right star and the right distance of and mixes of giant planets etc in the same solar system to protect the planet from life killing super bombardments such as occurred during earths 1st 750 million years and thousands of other goldilocks requirements
e.g the planet has to be within the co-rotation distance of the galaxy-ca 24000-26000 light years from the milky way center -any closer and the radiation from black holes supernova etc will be deadly to life -further and the necessary heavy elements necessary for advanced life wont exist-one of many enigmas-so earth and our solar system began much closer to the center and was salted by minerals and radioactive elements etc from many types of the just right supernovas at the just right times in coordination with each other to produce the right mixes w the right half lifes etc
so the solar system then had to migrate to the safest place in the galaxy where it now resides and then experience hundreds of other just right coincidences to eventually be habitable by advanced life- the odds of even 1 planet satisfying thousands of just right coincidences makes it scientifically impossible for even 1 planet to support advanced life-for the odds of even one are 1 ion 10 to the 400th power or more -and scientists consider anything w less than a chance of 1 in 10 to the 50th or at the outside 100th power to be a practical impossibility
actually the research has been multiplying these coincidences at an amazing rate -as i said in the 60's only 2 coincidences/requirements were known- so the odds against even one planet w these coincidences is actually much greater now-something that is difficult to even compute as the amazing dance of life continues to unfold-
