As part of the 6 th annual RanzalCares community event and while in town for Kscope17 , Edgewater Ranzal team members and clients joined together to bring smiles to the children of the shelter. The children (and the adults, too!) enjoyed a huge carnival-like birthday bash with a cupcake food truck, face painter, bounce house and more. All in attendance agreed it was an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind event.
“I wanted to once again thank the 30 angels that descended on The Battered Women and Children Shelter yesterday afternoon,” said Blanca Uribe, Volunteer Support and Community Relations Specialist for FVPS. “The comments I heard from the children to their mothers were wonderful. These are memories that they will safely tuck in their hearts and always remember—for this I’m thankful,” she added.
In a post on its Facebook page , FVPS added, “Thirty Edgewater Ranzal angels from all over the U.S. decided to take a break from their weeklong conference in our beautiful city of San Antonio, and treated the shelter children to an afternoon birthday party full of circus fun. Games, face painting, a bouncy house and an incredible waterslide along with lollipops, cupcakes, pizza and more! Edgewater Ranzal also surprised us with new swings for our playground and a table with chairs for the moms to sit and watch their tweens play basketball!”
