I believe the race has begun, but unfortunately, the U.S. hasn't yet gotten in. I don't think it's too late, but our leadership needs to get their head's out of their asses.
Congress needs to act for the benefit of the country, rather than sticking with whatever the party line is. I believe it's becoming clearer that a healthcare bill needs to be a collaborative agreement as the Republican's clearly don't have the Senate votes to pass it alone. The same is probably the case WRT changing the status of cannabis. As is, the Congress may legislate against Session's being able to act against State's where marijuana is legal, but that won't lead to product development here. What's needed is legislation that permits such development, with the FDA fully engaged in development of these products.
