What are you talking about? Good business prospects are anything but irrelevant. In fact, the business prospects of the product portfolio (risk adjusted) are the basis for the valuation and bid. As someone said earlier a DCF model will likely be employed to do the analysis and the CM portion of the model and related sensitivities will include projected sales and related COS (or the business prospects).
