Find the tiny black circle on the chart. see how insignificant is it? that is 'one day' out of hundreds.
daily prices mean nothing, so when you ask 'whats going on with this stock', its simply impossible to answer because youre focusing on 'one day' which ultimately blends into a larger picture.
On that 'one day', investors at THAT time, had no clue it was going to skyrocket the next day, only to plummet a month later. its all about knowing when to sell.
But look at the green and red lines i drew. over all, the stock had long term GAINS.
in other words, investors at THAT time, on THAT specific day, who freaked out, asked, "what's going on with this stock", and sold.. in the short term made the wrong choice because days later it jumped from $4 to $8.
