Currently in a nationwide rollout by Comcast, DOCSIS 3.1 cable internet service is a major development in the evolution of ultra-high-speed broadband over the existing infrastructure. This breakthrough technology makes it possible to get ultra-fast Gigabit internet speeds through the existing coaxial cable connection . DOCSIS 3.1 rivals the speed of fiber internet connections and ensures that your connected home is ready to support the speeds needed for the multitude of connected devices present in today’s homes.

The Nighthawk X4S AC3200 WiFi Cable Modem Router supporting DOCSIS 3.1 is required for the fastest internet speed tiers offered by Comcast XFINITY and other cable internet providers.
