Nicola Wealth Management supports teen’s swim ac

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, July 10, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Nicola Wealth Management (NWM) is pleased to announce their support of Emily Epp and her swim across The English Channel to raise funds for the Canuck Place Children’s Hospice . The wealth management firm will be matching up to $50,000 in donations towards the 17-year-old swimmer’s fundraising campaign leading up to her 35km swim from England to France next week.

Canuck Place is particularly dear to the Epp family because of Emily’s sister Elan. Elan has experienced health challenges since she was 18 months old, including diminished motor control, recurrent acute pancreatitis, feeding intolerance, severe scoliosis, and hip dislocations; leaving her with significant pain, and considerable strain on the family. In 2012, Canuck Place was able to help Elan to a point where she is no longer in pain and can now enjoy playing with her sisters.

NWM joins the Kids Helping Kids Foundation with matching donations, along with other local donors and supporters who have equipped Emily with everything she will need for her swim. With less than one week until her departure, she has already raised over $16,000, and counting.
