What does Dana-Farber's lead researcher get out of

What does Dana-Farber's lead researcher get out of doing research on Kevetrin?
He gets (we hope) the opportunity to stand up at a prestigious conference, and with cameras popping flashbulbs and TV stations rolling video, announces that Dana-Farber's research indicates that Kevetrin causes tumor shrinkage and may be the long-sought-after cure for cancer. He gets his name forever associated with Dr. Menon's discovery.
I do not for ONE MINUTE believe that Dana-Farber is going to allow an announcement of this magnitude to come out in a press release, when a once-in-a-career opportunity would be lost by such a strategy.
I do not for ONE MINUTE believe that Leo Ehrlich has the RIGHT to release data and would not do so. If he were sitting on MATERIAL DATA, there could be all kinds of shareholder lawsuits, not to mention the SEC deciding to make an example of him.
I do not for ONE MINUTE believe that there is any bad faith on the part of the management of this company.
