MRM invests in Aria Parc in Allonnes:
The group becomes the sole owner of the retail park by acquiring a retail unit, and plans a 2,300sqm extension.
Paris, 10 July 2017: MRM (Euronext, ISIN FR0000060196), a real estate investment company specialising in retail and office property, today announced two transactions strengthening its interest in the Aria Parc retail park in Allonnes (Sarthe department) and contributing to its development: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
- MRM has acquired the last remaining retail unit it did not already own in the retail park. The 1,500sqm unit was leased in early January 2017 to Basic-Fit, the European leading fitness chain, for a term of 10 years including a 9-year firm period. The acquisition price was €1.8 million excluding transfer duties. Â
- MRM has signed a lease with a furniture and home decor chain for a new 3,300sqm unit in the retail park, which will be achieved through a 2,300sqm projected extension to a currently vacant 1,000sqm unit.
The two transactions will increase the retail area owned by MRM at the Allonnes retail park from 9,000sqm to 12,800sqm, the group being the sole owner of the entire park. This is in line with MRM strategy to refocus on retail property and to enhance the value of its shopping centres through an ambitious investment plan, and to make opportunistic acquisitions.
MRM has brought in house the asset management function for its shopping centres since mid-2015. For these latest transactions, it was advised by Accessite and notary firm Lasaygues & Associés.
Calendar
Revenues for the second quarter of 2017 and first-half 2017 results are due on 28 July 2017 before market opening and will be presented during an information meeting to be held on the same day.
