Kotipizza Group Oyj Stock Exchange Release 6 July 2017 at 9am (EEST) The Kotipizza chain's same-store sales increased by 12.3 percent in June
Total sales of the restaurants in the Kotipizza chain, part of Kotipizza Group Oyj, grew by 16.8 percent in June compared to previous year. Same-store sales, based on sales figures from 232 restaurants, rose by 12.3 percent.
This year, the sales in June amounted to 8.52 million euros compared with the 7.29 million euros last year. June 2017 boasted the third-best monthly sales in Kotipizza's history. Monthly sales have exceeded 8 million euros in four subsequent months, including June. The current record for monthly sales was set in July 2016 at 8.64 million euros.
The chain's brick-and-mortar restaurants increased their sales by 18.4 percent and shop-in-shop locations by 10.0 percent. Online store sales grew by 42.2 percent to 560 000 euros. Figures for online sales are mainly based on the sales reported by 71 restaurants offering home delivery and count towards the sales of brick-and-mortar restaurants.
Since the beginning of the current financial year (1 February to 30 June), the cumulative chain sales have increased by 17.9 percent compared to last year, amounting to 40.8 million euros.
