Let me weigh in on the new CFO. On June 15 I sent an email to Amir Uziel and Jeff Smurlick questioning the circumstances of Shmuel De-Saban's parting from the company.
Their reply was that "Shmuel was just an average Joe", and "the new guy is a superstar".. A few here were expecting a "Rock Star". To be honest I had no expectations and I was left thinking: wow a superstar is better than nothing and I guess it can only help!
I read the 8-k this morning within minutes after it was released. And to be honest I knew instantly that it would not be favourably received and it would cause a lot of raised eyebrows. I kept thinking back on the June 15 "superstar" reply and it pissed me off. Shortly after I sent Jeff the following text:
Yossi Dagan, this is the newly appointed CFO of OWCP. Exactly what part of his resume makes him a "superstar" ? Since his 2 year tenure at TISA, the company dropped about 3/4 of its market cap. Did you already know who it was going to be, or were you told that it was going to be a "superstar"? It's this kind of excessive exaggeration that creates false expectations and that leads to a let-down when the much anticipated news is announced. I wish the new guy luck and hope that he will become a superstar. As I've stated many times before, that will only happen if and when the company starts making some money or at least tries to. Any word on when the psoriasis cream will hit the market in Germany?
I normally don't vent my frustration in public. But this amateur hour gong show will not get us anywhere. We would be so much better off if the mouthpieces hired by OWCP would shut the fuck up. Please spare us! no more bullshit news releases (I realize the release of many of the 8-Ks are mandatory).
I sincerely hope that you don't automatically have a knee-jerk reaction and blame me for such a negative post. If you are a serious investor you should be voicing your displeasure and concerns directly with the clowns running the company. I haven't had any direct communication with Mordechai Bignitz, but I will start soon. As leader he is ultimately responsible for what is going on. It can only help and maybe some good will come of it. Or maybe they should direct us to a different mouthpiece that doesn't make stupid statements and predictions. A much better answer to a question is "I don't know, but I will try to find out and keep you in the loop". GLTA!!
