Recent Developments
Let’s review the business of OTTV for those who are hearing the name for the first time. The company designs and markets “Internet protocol television (PITV)/over the top (OTT) application for connected television, desktop computers, tablets and smartphones.” OTTV’s competitive advantage over traditional media channels is that the television services are delivered over the Internet. The traditional terrestrial and cable television networks are not used.
The following are the most important announcements made recently. On May 31, 2017, an iOS version of VIVAlive App for all iPhones and iPads was put out. From that date, the app became available for free download from Apple Store, and TV Portal www.vivalivetv.com. Furthermore, in the same press release, Johnny Falcones, Chairman, and CEO of the company, noted a 30 day free trial, and celebrated the news:
“I am extremely pleased and proud to make this announcement. Today is a very proud moment and milestone for our company. Due to the unparalleled dedication by our team members, my vision is finally coming to the reality. VIVA is focused is to empower cable companies and telecoms globally with our cost-effective, content rich and technologically superior services, and to deliver a global subscriber base the ultimate entertainment experience while cutting the cord. To commence our launch, we have decided to offer all clients and shareholders a 30 day free trial. This promotion is designed to test the system and to allow VIVA users to provide feedback re platform’s design, transmission quality and overall experience” Source
Finally, some features of the app were noted. Users will have access to Live Premium TV, such as ESPN, TNT, Fox, NBC as well as thousands of movies and radio stations. All these services are provided at a flat fee of $49.99 a month.
On June 6, 2017, the company put out a similar press release. The app had been available for Android’s Google Play. Mr. Falcones noted the 30 day free trial again for clients, and shareholders. Surprisingly, the amount of channels that are included was larger.
“The VIVAlive Apps contain Live Premium TV such as ESPN, ESPN2, TNT, Fox, Fox News, NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, CBS, TBS, Lifetime, MTV, BET, Telemundo, Univision, Cartoon Network, A&E, Animal Planet, AMC, Discovery, Comedy Central, Disney, E! Entertainment, FX, CW, History Channel, Lifetime, My Network, National Geographic, OWN, PBS, Spike, Syfy, USA, The Weather, Channel, Bravo, HLN, ION, CSPAN, VH1, Nickelodeon, Food Network, CMT, Hallmark, TLC, HGTV, QVC, CNN and ABC ” Source
Additionally, it was noted that the company is working on adding some other distribution channels; Smart TVs, Amazon Fire Stick, Apple TV, and Roku. The flat fee of $49.99 a month was also mentioned in the communication.
What are the customers saying?
We went to check the amount of people that have already downloaded and tried the app on the Google Play website. We found out that it does not matter that the app is quite new. Many people have downloaded it. The app has a five star ranking and the feedback was very good.
“This app is amazing. I have all the channels on my phone they show up on the scream pretty nice. In addition I got the box at home. good bye to cables around the house. for 34.95 I am saving over $ 100 dollares Great. this is good” Google User: Eduardo Giraldo
“So far so good with lots of premium content coming. Super excited to cut the cord and use this strictly.” Google User: Brett Jewett
Is the market reacting to all this good feedback and to the fact that the downloads are growing everyday? Yes, it makes a lot of sense.

Conclusion
Viva Entertainment Group Inc, has been announcing its services for months. Negotiations with partners and media companies were noted. Hence, it makes sense that as the company releases its services, shares climb. The rule is the following: the more downloads, the more users, equals more revenues. We encourage market participants to check the Google Play website to monitor the app and check the news of the company. It may surprise soon again as the OTTV bull run looks set to continue.
