Pete, I've never gotten a warning on the Hangout, but on many occasions have gotten such warnings about lieHUB. I use a Mac -- it's been good about those warnings.
However we have experienced some ads here that pop up and block content. When that's happened, we've PM'ed the IH Admin and they've gotten that ad removed. Maybe you got a toxic ad.
