Well, to be fair the stock traded at $0.01 that day. So that was $180 worth of short sales. I suspect if you look at the next few days there was a surplus of buys to offset it or some FTDs. I'm in the camp that says the FINRA short volume is being misinterpreted but I don't think this is a good example of why there is a misinterpretation.
Then again, we're IPIX investors so we're fans of extremely promising but extremely small sample sizes
