FORT WAYNE, Ind., June 29, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dr. Adam Osenga, a licensed chiropractor at North East Chiropractic Center, located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, recently received his certification as a physician for chiropractic sports. The CCSP® certification allows athletes to receive care for sports-related injuries through the family-oriented care facility of North East Chiropractic Center, helping those in pain avoid the need for out-of-center referrals and long wait times between appointments. Dr. Osenga plans to use his CCSP® certification to continue to promote chiropractic preventative care and natural healing for all of the center's patients.

Dr. Osenga received the CCSP® (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician) certification through the ACBSP™, or the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. The ACBSP™ requires that all of its CCSP® applicants hold a current ATC (Athletic Trainer Certification) certification, and have completed an MS (Masters of Science) program in sports science and exercise. The ACBSP™ also requires its applicants to complete a year of residency in a sports medicine program and to have completed at least 100 hours of CCSP® postgraduate education.
