Hollywood Supported Obama, Gets Rewarded With Tax Breaks - just some of the pork in the bill!

Last year’s presidential campaigns saw Barack Obama making frequent visits with Hollywood’s celebrity elite.  Hollywood liberals like George Clooney helped to raise millions of dollars for Obama’s re-election campaign.

Next to the nation’s labor unions, the Hollywood film industry is perhaps the most liberal of America’s industries.  Hollywood has been very active in pushing gay rights but placing many openly gay programs in primetime slots.  They also push for the destruction of the traditional family unit where the father is supposed to be the authority figure, but Hollywood makes them out to be bumbling idiots.  Wives and kids are seen as the smart ones who know what’s going on while any other authority figure – fathers, clergy, police and bosses – are made to be the fools.

Hollywood is also a leader in hypocrisy.  They keep turning out violent and gory movies that depict the worst abuses possible.  Then they turn around and collectively call for a stop to violence and for more gun control.  Hollywood’s wealthy also supported Obama’s mandate that the rich pay their fair share of taxes.

But they were good little liberals in Hollywood and Obama managed to reward them for their support.  Snuck into the fiscal cliff deal was a provision to extend tax cuts for certain television and film productions.  The tax breaks could amount to as much as  $15 million to $20 million per production, depending upon where they are being filmed.  Television is the biggest winner as the deduction doesn’t apply to a series, but to each individual episode.

So the next time you sit down to watch your favorite weekly television shows, I hope you remember that they are getting a $15 million to $20 tax break for just that episode, while your taxes are going up due to Obamacare and other liberal policies they supported and endorsed.
