Yep Tyson is the culprit. Ribt has a plant in Crowley, La. But all that product goes to animal feed from that plant. They have a couple of plants in the Sacramento area and they get organic rice bran from Thailand. The problem with the company has been it's Brazil rice bran oil plant. Political problems down there did not help, but it is getting better. If Brazil goes back to the 2015 sales, RIBT makes a good profit since the stateside is improving.
Many race horses eat rice bran. I know for a fact Arrogate and American Pharoah use it. One of Bob Baffert's top trainor's was married to a former RIBT VP. he says most trainers use it. Show horses use it too, it gives their coat a nice shine.
