AESC Board Chair, Krista Walochik, will open the day’s sessions, which will address the key forces influencing today’s global business, from an uncertain geopolitical climate to the business imperative for diversity and inclusion.

Simon Jackman of the US Studies Centre will provide the opening keynote address on “What the Trump Presidency Means for Australia and Asia.” Since 2009, Jackman has served as a Principal Investigator of the American National Election Studies, the world’s longest running and most authoritative study of political attitudes and behaviour. He will offer unique insights on US politics and their ramifications on the Australian and Asian economies.

Oliver Bladek of McKinsey & Company counsels CHROs on top strategic issues, including delivering value through talent, organizational agility and the workforce of the future. Bladek will outline how companies can stay healthy for the long term as rapid change undermines traditional sources of stability.

Joanne Gray of BOSS magazine will lead a panel of Board search and advisory practice leaders and serving Directors on the future of Boards. Good governance is key to meeting the challenges and opportunities of the future. The panel will take a deep look at the issues facing Boards today including digitalization, risk management, diversity, cyber-security and disruption. Gray will be joined by Kevin Jurd of Spencer Stuart, Katie Lahey of Korn Ferry, and Board Directors Arlene Tansey and Penelope Winn.
