Echo360 Announces Cloud-based Academic Video Platf

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - Jun 26, 2017) - Echo360, a leading academic video technology provider, announced today the availability of its innovative video and active learning platform hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) Canada (Central) Region. Effective July 1, 2017, this new Echo360 platform will be operational on the AWS Region in Montreal, allowing Canada-based users to take advantage of the scalability and price performance of advanced cloud computing without storing their sensitive student data outside the country.

Today, advances in education technology are enabling universities to shift from legacy, on-premise solutions designed for enterprise use to cloud-based technologies that are tailored for pedagogical purposes. This new cloud location enables Echo360 institutional partners to easily and effectively scale solutions, integrate with multiple campus-wide systems, and take advantage of new updates and technologies as soon as they emerge, all while ensuring student information is safe and secure as required by Canada's student data privacy laws.
