Most of the time airlines actually lease the engin

Most of the time airlines actually lease the engines that go on the aircraft . The agreement will cover a certain maximum number of cycles [takeoffs and landings] and a specified time period.They don't buy them. Why the rent on them was not paid I don't know. I do believe they will negotiate a much, much lower price. Maybe also including Logistics in a further lease agreement and almost call it a wash.
