It sure looks like the bar is set low for Prurisol to be considered effective and approval-worthy. And, with the much milder side effects, if it works as well in the current clinical trial as it did in the earlier one, it should become a treatment that people try BEFORE they try those dangerous biologics. All you have to do is turn on the TV during the dinnertime news, and all kinds of commercials for various drugs appear pretty quickly. When they read off that laundry list of horrible diseases that can be caused by the drugs, well.... any knowledgeable doctor tries to use the least bad drugs first, then try the one with worse side effects if the less-bad drug doesn't work well enough.
