As a new town matures, its need for medical and health services expand out of natural demand. This is particularly the case as Holiday Island's population consists of approximately 65 % retirees who have growing medical needs, insurance, and cash.
Currently, the medical and health services include two (2) medical clinics with a dentist, ophthalmologist, general physician, medical specialists, a Wellness Center, and two (2) assisted living facilities, ambulance services, home hospice, pharmacy, and the only heliport within 30 miles.
The Wellness Center recently purchased an acre of land in the Holiday Island Shopping Center with plans to build an 8,000 square foot facility in the coming months that will house all of its health and medical services, including a 24/7 hour fitness center. The Wellness Center boosts over 400 members now, and it has mandated occupational contracts with four (4) area schools.
