On May 17, 2010, $WEST entered into an exclusive worldwide license agreement with Westinghouse, Inc, which permitted us to manufacture, distribute and market solar panels under the Westinghouse name and In connection therewith, on April 6, 2011, we changed our name to Westinghouse Solar,Inc.
In June 2015, we entered into a license agreement with Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. whereby we granted Hyundai the right to produce Andalay compatible modules. Hyundai began shipping Andalay compatible modules as of May 2015.
We currently anticipate that we will retain all of our earnings, if any, for development of our business and repayment of historical debt and accounts payable, and do not anticipate paying any cash dividends on common stock in the foreseeable future.
Southridge Partners II, LP has committed to purchase up to $5,000,000 worth of our common stock
The relative magnitude and the mix of revenue from our largest customers have varied significantly quarter to quarter. During the nine months ended September 30, 2015, two customers have accounted for significant revenues, varying by period, to our company: Smart Energy Today (“Smart Energy”), which specializes in helping home owners and business owners become more energy efficient and Rectify LLC, a residential solar installer in Indiana.
Andalay Solar has partnered up with Magerack Corporation in California (www.magerack.com) and Rectify Solar in Indiana (www.rectifysolar.com) to provide an easy and fast way for handy homeowners to purchase our solar systems and have them delivered right to your door. This provides a convenient way of buying our products, saving you a lot of time.
WEST has over 30 pending or issued patents related to solar panel installation technology. The company sells their products to solar installers, trade workers and do-it-yourself customers through distribution partnerships, its dealer network and retail outlets, such as Lowe’s Home Improvement stores. Andalay Solar Begins Sale Of U.S.-Assembled Modules
Andalay Solar Inc. has commenced production of its solar modules in San Jose, Calif., with customer shipments to begin immediately.
The facility produces black-framed, 60-cell, multicrystalline, 250 W modules.
