The biomass plant is expected to cut the Midland manufacturing site's total greenhouse gas emissions by 82 percent, according to Roger Silverthorn, chief financial officer of Bloomfield Hills-based Cirque Energy.
"It's the cleanest power plant there is," said Silverthorn in March during a Midland Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast.
