Soros Group Backs Plan Demanding Cali Landlords Rent to Illegal Immigrants

A California-based open borders organization linked to billionaire George Soros is pushing for legislation that would force landlords to rent to illegal immigrants.

The Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment (ACCE), which is made up of now-defunct chapters of the Soros-funded Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), has formed a new coalition to push a housing measure in California, dubbed Housing Now California.

Under the legislation pushed by ACCE, landlords would be barred from choosing not to rent to illegal immigrants even after they are made aware of their legal status. Coupled with that portion of the legislation is an anti-harassment measure that would ban landlords from being able to threaten illegal immigrant tenants with eviction due to their illegal status.

Besides being made up of former ACORN chapters, the left-wing open borders organization is a partner group to the Soros-funded Center for Popular Democracy (CPD).

As Breitbart Texas reported, Soros showered CPD with funds recently. In 2016, Soros’ Open Society Foundation gave CPD $705,000 in grants to “support efforts challenging anti-Muslim sentiment” and “support advocacy on access to economic opportunity.” In the First Quarter of 2017, Soros’ Open Society Foundation gave CPD another $150,000 to “support policy advocacy on access to economic opportunity.”

As Breitbart California previously reported, millions of dollars pour into the organization which is made up of former ACORN executives with money coming from corporations, hedge-fund managers, and millionaire backers.

The illegal immigrant housing legislation has already passed the California State Assembly and will now head to the Senate.
