In this presentation from Dr. Lebby, he commits in front of the Photonic World Mapping Forum attendees , that little LWLG,

- achieved 25Gbps with in house protos in Spring 2017
- will have 25G packaged prototypes for customers before year end 2017
- will achieve 50Gbps with in-house prototypes by year-end 2017!!!
- targets to have packaged 50Gbps transceivers by the end of 2Q 2018

to be amongst the first to address the needs of datacenters operators like Google, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft et al... for 100G and 400G optical links in a transceiver market that is targeted to reach over 4 BILLION $$$$?!?

And that's just the first market they are targeting, with many more coming in the fields of:

Optical Coherence Tomography,
Cytometry and detection,
Spectroscopy
Capsule Endoscopy
Military Applications of Bio-photonics
OLED based Flexible Displays
LIDARS for the Automotive or Defense industries... to name a few...


Now, that's the kind of project I want a piece of:

A fast growing market that's measured in BILLIONS of $$$,
A company that discovered a unique patented way of manufacturing components like no one else has despite 40 years of research,
A CEO who is helping write the map of where the industry should be going next?!?

I think the bid for such a company will go in one direction over the next twelve months, and that's UP, UP, UP...
