However... Rome, still appoints the Cardinals and Bishops in the American Catholic Church.
Which considering the constitution of the United States leaves me with extreme concern and Caution. Due to the fact the Vatican is a Country.
By your profession of faith in the Roman Catholic Church you Profess you faith and allegiance to Rome, The Pope and Vatican City.
A foreign entity can't occupy any part of the US government.
Constitutionally: Roman Catholic's should be disallowed to hold any position in the United States Government. Federal, State or Local. Until such time as the American Roman Catholic's separates itself from the Vatican, Rome and the Pope.
