No he didn't. He legitimately questioned the nominees ability to administer his job without insinuating or imposing his exclusionary religious beliefs on his employees or upon his decisions.

His Public Statement that Everyone who does not believe as he does is 'Condemned' while those like him are the only ones on the Planet who are 'Saved' may be a common belief among certain 'Christian' sects; but it is not really tenable for an official of a Pluralistic Society like our own.

I would have been questioning him thoroughly too. I wouldn't want someone appointed who thinks it's the norm to fire someone because they said something he feels to be "theologically incorrect." I would want to make sure that he understands it would be best for his theology to stay at home, or at least out of his decisions when working for the Dumptrump.
