Dr. Joseph A. Miller
Dr. Joseph A. Miller, Jr. has served as a Director of Lightwave Logic since May 2011.
He is a retired Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Corning Incorporated serving in that capacity from July 2001 to May 2012.
Prior to joining Corning he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at E. I. DuPont from 1994 to 2001.
He began his career at DuPont in 1966 as a research chemist in Polymer Products.
He held a variety of positions in R&D, manufacturing, business and marketing.
Dr. Miller received a Bachelor of Science from Virginia Military Institute and a doctorate in Chemistry fro Penn State University. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
He is also a member of the board of directors of Greatbatch Technology Inc. (cont'd)
