Fox Business anchor Trish Regan said that the leak by former FBI Director James Comey of his private memos is giving Americans a window into how the Washington "swamp" functions.
Comey revealed in a Senate hearing Thursday that he shared the contents of memos about his conversations with President Trump with a friend to pass on to the New York Times.
Regan said it's a "very disturbing" action by Comey and is evidence of what Trump is "up against" in Washington, D.C.
Basically this gives average Americans real insight into how the swamp works," she said on "Outnumbered."
Regan said she believes Trump "is in for more trouble" because of the potential for further leaks from Comey allies.
Meghan McCain said the only thing that matters is whether special counsel Robert Mueller uncovers evidence to pursue a criminal case against Trump.
Kennedy called Comey a "sanctimonious fool," questioning why he felt it was his responsibility to leak the memos in order to spur the appointment of a special counsel.
"He is the one who had condemned leakers in every arena. And he himself had no problem laying out exactly how he did it. He didn't see anything wrong with it," she said.
