Just to let some of the newer people understand,,,when you purchase a stock in a regular trading session and place a stop limit on the order,,,that stop limit doesn't kick in while in After-Hour trading (normally) as AH trading is a different game. You would have to actually get into you account and sell.

In reading what happened last night to many of the longs in CYTR, they apparently were unaware of this particular broker rule.

That is why many times I will either buy or sell at the end of a day trading session. Particularly before Friday night. Bears love to feed in After-Hours because stockholders will typically see their stock prices declining, get panicked and jump online to sell their position. No news is coming out for them to read which causes a quick panic attack for investors. They will question why they bought that damn stock, panic, then sell. Rationalism goes out the window. It's not until sometime later when they realize that they just got swept up in the out-going tide without thinking things rationally.

If you had a good reason to buy the stock in the first place, buy more as the price gets hammered. Believe me, it took me a while to learn this lesson.
