If 374,000 jobs make up on 1% of the energy production and 187,000 jobs make up 65% fossil, then as solar becomes cheaper to produce, which market will provide Americans with more jobs? Which market now provides more jobs?
Solar
1% = 374,000 jobs
Fossil
65% = 187,000 jobs
1% = 2877 jobs
That is more than a 6500 times the number of job opportunities as we shift to renewable energy that will eventually be cheaper than fossil! That's assuming that economies of scale don't reduce the ratio of jobs for solar, which it will. This means we could have an additional 24 million jobs in the US. That's a whole lot more than 187,000.
