Planned Parenthood Reports Increase in Abortions a

The amount of abortions performed by Planned Parenthood increased while the organization brought in more federal funds, according to the organization's annual report.
The report from the largest abortion provider in America, released after a six-month delay, reminded readers that abortion rates in America are the lowest since Roe v. Wade. It continued to tout the challenged statistic that abortions account for 3 percent of the abortion giant's "affiliate medical services data."
Planned Parenthood received $554.6 million in government funds in 2015-16, almost $1 million more than the year before, the report states.
Meanwhile, abortion procedures jumped to 328,348 almost a 5,000 increase from 2014-15, despite Planned Parenthood treating 100,000 fewer patients.
Prenatal care services plummeted 8,000 to only 9,418, and Planned Parenthood offered only 2,073 miscarriage care services, and 2,889 adoption referrals.
Cancer screenings dropped 50 percent, and contraceptive services 20 percent.
Nevertheless, Planned Parenthood's executives revamped their push to keep a half billion dollars in federal money flowing to the mammoth company.
"Anti-women’s health politicians will jump at any opportunity — no matter how baseless — to attack our organization," the report complained. It added that those who oppose them and abortion services are "extremists."
A January Knights of Columbus-Marist poll reported that almost two-thirds of Americans oppose federal funding for U.S. abortions, including many who have no moral problem with it.
"Planned Parenthood's business model is failing yet they're receiving more revenues from the government," Mercedes Schlapp argued this morning. "[Abortion] is what their primary mission has become, not comprehensive services for all women."
