This is a very important point. Many people are not permitted to buy a stock below a buck.
So I wonder: perhaps the rabid former small-traders'-gangs bashers who are now posting bullishly under different names, or trying to rehabilitate their former identities, have covered their shorts and gone long in regular trading accounts. But now they want to get their 401K's in on it -- so they had to pump hard, and get the stock above a buck.
(They got those 401K's before they got fired for being such horrible people.)
