Been on the road the last 2 days. 1400+ miles of windshield time. Just got in to Duluth Minn and am getting caught up on the scuttlebutt and this is the first one I say. The battle of the Chosin Reservoir is a chapter of Marine Corps history that is imprinted on the soul of every US Marine that has ever worn the eagle, globe and anchor. General Lewis Burwell "Chesty" Puller led his Marines on a retreat from there while outnumbered immensely. If you don't watch the documentary that Drano suggested, Google Puller or Chosen and learn something about our American fighting men and the hardships they endured in this "non-war". Goodnight Chesty, wherever you are was the last thing a Marine DI said before lights out at Parris Island.
