Dana Loesch said this morning that President Trump is "onto something" when he complains about unfair treatment by the media.
In a commencement address to Coast Guard graduates, the president said yesterday "no politician in history - and I say this with great surety - has been treated worse or more unfairly."
Loesch said this started immediately from the moment Trump took office, when a false report was widely shared about Trump removing a bust of Martin Luther King Jr. from the Oval Office.
The Time magazine reporter later corrected the report and apologized, but Loesch said the pattern has continued for months with "unsourced individuals" reporting hearsay and unsubstantiated claims.
"There has been no such treatment to this extent of a president. When you have story after story that is not just simply partisan or biased, it's just simply false. That's huge," she said.
The nationally-syndicated radio host said the goal is to distract from Trump's "winning message" on jobs, trade and the economy, which could help Democrats in 2018.
"It's a Hail Mary pass from the media to help their party," she said.
