The PowerFLOW Solution Forum is a one-day conference where leading automotive, commercial and off-highway vehicle manufacturers and suppliers from around the world meet to discuss the latest innovations and developments in simulation-driven design, elaborating on how Exa's suite of simulation tools has played a vital role in their respective product development processes. This year’s list of participating companies includes DENSO Corporation, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Honda R&D Co. Ltd, Scania AB, and Yanmar Co. Ltd.
The 2017 key presenters:
Mr. Hirotsugu Takeuchi , Executive Director at DENSO, will discuss how DENSO’s collaborative partnership with Exa is helping to transform traditional interaction between carmakers and suppliers, creating a new integrated ecosystem of simulation models.
Mr. Naoki Hamamoto , from the Vehicle Function Testing Department at Mitsubishi, will elaborate on the digital simulation processes his company has put to in place to improve both vehicle aerodynamics and aeroacoustics.
Dr. Per Elofsson , Senior Technical Manager, Aerodynamics at Scania, will present details of the Swedish commercial vehicle manufacturer’s use of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in developing the aerodynamic efficiency of its new range of trucks.
Mr. Ryutaro Nishihir , motorsports engineer at Honda R&D Co. Ltd, will share information on how NSX GT3, which made its debut at the IMSA United Sportscar Championship (USCC) Daytona 24 in January 2017, was developed using Exa’s PowerFLOW simulation tools.
Mr. Soichiro Ikegami , from Yanmar Co., LTD., will elaborate on how Exa simulation technology can help reduce cooling fan noise in industrial vehicles.
Mr. Maximilian Ludwig Ganis , from NIO Co., LTD., will discuss NIO’s aerodynamic, thermal and acoustic methodologies using state-of-the-art CFD and how this has improved their vehicle development.
