Maxco Supply Selects Infor to Help Establish Future-Ready Infrastructure

NEW YORK, NY --(Marketwired - May 15, 2017) - Infor , a leading provider of beautiful business applications specialized by industry and built for the cloud, today announced that Maxco Supply, Inc. has selected Infor to replace a legacy Oracle system with a more future-ready technology infrastructure. The California-based packaging design and manufacturer plans to implement Infor M3, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system designed to help manage core distribution and manufacturing processes, as well as Infor Human Capital Management (HCM), Workforce Management (WFM) and Expense Management (XM). With the help of these solutions, Maxco plans to create new levels of business intelligence (BI) and a future-ready environment designed to drive insight-based decision-making.

The selection of Infor M3, HCM, WFM and XM caps an intensive search that was undertaken by Maxco to reestablish a more uniform technology portfolio, which can be tailored to help meet the unique needs of the organization. After evaluating and demoing a dozen vendors for over a year, Maxco determined that Infor was the best candidate to replace the existing environment. Infor was chosen in part for the level of knowledge and skill demonstrated during the RFP process, but it also provided the most tailored approach for an industry-based ERP.

"Our existing platform is not future ready. We have an aging Oracle system that doesn't offer us the level of flexibility and longevity needed to grow our business. We sought out a vendor that could be a strategic partner to us, one that could customize the technology around our business needs. We found a strong partner in Infor; they demonstrated a deep understanding of the industry and have provided access to experts at every level, resulting in a greater confidence in the technology," said Nabeel Mahmood, Chief Information Technology Officer, Maxco Supply. "From the start, Infor offered us a unique, tailored approach that revolves around the needs of our business."

The solutions that Maxco plans to implement are designed to offer the company a significant change to the way it processes information, adding real-time capabilities that are blended with a revolutionary user interface (UX) to help drive accuracy and enhance response times. In addition to added transparency, the use of Infor solutions is expected to help improve quality control, optimize shop floor management, reduce the frequency of errors or duplications and improve customer response times, which will not only serve to benefit Maxco customers, but also help eliminate the "known but undocumented" knowledge factor that can hinder the collaborative process of an enterprise organization. Maxco believes the addition of Infor to its technology footprint can create a more unified approach and help prepare the organization for continued growth and success.

"The distribution industry is a highly competitive business environment and for a company to establish long-term success, it must be willing to make thoughtful investments to support growth. Maxco is the perfect example of this mindset, and the selection of Infor can help them create a distinctive approach for addressing today's needs while preparing for the demands of tomorrow," said Kelly Squizzero, Senior Director, Industry & Strategy, Infor Distribution. "We look forward to working closely with Maxco to further tailor our systems to help meet the specific needs of their growing organization."
