Broken record here, and maybe because I've seen a lot of EEs depart for lots of reasons.
For me the speculation on her departure -- for reason/s that likely will remain unknown -- isn't worth it. One, many, can go ahead inquire but the answer may remain: "We are not at liberty to disclose per a signed separation agreement." Again, this is more the norm than not in HR circles. Kind of like References - most companies restrict said references to: dates of employment and position. That's it.
As to the Science, lots of MOAs aren't known but nonetheless show results in human trials. And that's what we're seeing. People getting better ... ABSSSI, IBD, OM, PSO, and hints in CANCER. So credit the Science where credit is due. Phase 2 trials not pre-clinical. People not rats.
I do think folks making mountain out of mole hill but that's just me.
