For the most part it is De-risked. Fred Leonber
Post# of 871
Fred Leonberger that invented todays technology recently moved from a behind the scene consultant job to a board spot and is heading up the Operations committee. Joe Miller Credited with saving Corning joined the board a few years ago and set in motion a feed back loop that also makes this a device company. Lebby took over as the CEO and prior to that he headed up a multi million dollar industry study. All 3 of these guys are VERY connected in the industry.
The risks were, Heat, Stability, Consistency of material and which device to go after first. They have pretty much checked those boxes. They needed to make sure it works and have also checked that box about 3 or 4 times now. Currently they are in the process of 1 more step from 10 to 25gig, we know the material is fast enough but I guess they could somehow fail at that. I guess the material could cause cancer or something who knows. The materials being used today Will Not Work.
The longer one waits though???? Less Risk = Higher price
When they announce a partnership it will probably jump by a Buck or Two out of the box, so IMO best not to wait for that.
Read through my posts on the IHUB I do about 1 good one per week that I put thought into. Steve has recently really stepped up the game also. There are many others like Proto on there.
If you want to wait until Thursday Lebby will lay out the F'in Market potential I'm sure.
