Theories like this are easily bought. Every one of us has our own interpretation of what's going on. I've always been on the wide of "low liquidity is to blame" and generally discredit any market maker manipulation or other theories, because there's no evidence of it. However, what we know is that we have almost no liquidity with this stock, so even the smallest trade can shift it one way or another by several %. Just look at the spreads. They're often over 10% apart. There is such little trading happening that the daily fluctuations we see mean nothing when the company's fundamentals are solid. If I knew nothing about USGL and looked at the stock, I'd see a 4,500% gain since November. That tells me something is going right. But if I looked at yesterday's trading I'd think the world was falling apart lol....so the daily analysis we do here is, in the grand scheme of things, totally meaningless, but fun nonetheless.
