After two tours in Iraq ('04 & '09), I look at the world much more differently than I did before. There is always going to be negativity and speculation. It's human nature. That's healthy though. The Marines that didn't come home with me opened my eyes to the realization that I can make a choice to be positive and do everything in my power to ensure my success, But ultimately there will be other factors that come into play that may affect my success and progression.
IMO, I see nothing short from good in the steps that our CEO, and his BOD have taken in taking the reins and moving forward. The confidence and positive energy that I gravitate towards the more I learn about this special group of individuals is exhilarating and I'm excited to be a part of this path that they have taken this company in.
Ultimately, it's my decision how I vote and I did not come to this decision lightly. I may sound crazy to some of you. I've read up on most materials presented and fully understand the history of this company and where it can possibly go and that is a risk, or step rather, that I am willing to take with this company, CEO and BOD.
Now I do wish I could make it to the SHM but have a responsibility to my wife as we close in on the birth of our baby girl due in the coming weeks. I'm 36 years young and this will be our first child. We're in Austin Texas and will be delivering in Houston. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we will be dealing with more pressing issues and news around the time of the SHM and after. Our daughter will be born with heart defects that will need to be addressed by the excellent doctors at Texas children's hospital after she is born. A scary time for us, and it takes all I can to be a positive influence for my wife as we have struggled through this path together. In the end, it will all be worth it and we will be better and our daughter will be stronger for what she will endure in the coming months and I will do my damn best to help her learn, grow and understand the pain. I will teach her how to take her own steps and can only hope that her heart will be able to push her through any obstacles that stand in her way.
Thank you everyone for your contributions that have helped me to better understand this company. Your positive and negative views have been important in my decisions.
