On the contrary, the WH has two stock answers to this and most questions: 'huh?' and 'f*ck you!'.

Well now, that doesn't even begin to account for the double standards and hypocrisy from GOPERS on this subject in particular.
Of COURSE they can give lip service to veterans while undercutting support for veterans' health care needs. It's the way they roll.
Despite the fact that veterans are a core constituency for Donald Trump (albeit one which Trump frequently harms), White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was completely unaware of the problem when asked about it by reporter John Gizzi, and unforgivably ignorant about veterans’ health care in general:
