Rocky Mountain High Water Company, LLC, is a majority-owned Native American enterprise.
The “Made/Produced by American Indians” trademark has been officially converted to a “certification mark” with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. This was done to clarify the actual purpose of the mark. The IAC is proud to offer this “certification” to American Indian producers and artisans to certify that their products are indeed authentic Native American made. The certification has also been filed in foreign countries: Canada and Hong Kong.
The Intertribal Agriculture Council (IAC) promotes the “Made/Produced by American Indians” trademark as a means to successfully and clearly identify actual American Indian products from federally recognized Tribes. The IAC started the arduous task of initial research, development, and registration of the “Made/Produced by American Indians” trademark in 1991 when the project was funded by a grant through the Administration for Native Americans. In January 1995 the United States Patent and Trademark Office finally approved the trademark. The trademark has been test marketed and is currently certified for use on three Classes and additional certifications are ongoing as the use increases.
