DNI’s Vohitsara Graphite Property
Located in east central Madagascar, the property straddles the paved, National Highway. Toamasina is Fifty kilometres down the highway from the property, and is the major, deep water port, handling 90% of Madagascar’s container traffic and 80% of all trade traffic.
Several past producing graphite mines surround the DNI Property. Stratmin’s currently operating mine lies fifty kilometres to the south. The high graphitic content and 70% large flake distribution, typical of the region, place it as one of the best quality producers on earth.
Sherritt’s Ambatovy Ni-Co mine employs a 220km pipeline, which runs through part of DNI’s Property, to transport slurried ore from their open pit mine to a processing plant in the port city, Toamasina.
The Current Program at Vohitsara
A mapped graphite trend runs along a ridge in the southeast part of the DNI Property, about one kilometre from the National Highway.
During July, 2015, DNI completed a geophysical survey, followed by a trenching program, on a 900m by 400m area of the mapped trend.
Four trenches spaced along the mapped graphite trend returned 3 to 13% graphitic carbon, and have 67.4% Jumbo and Large Flake distribution.

Before joining DNI in November 2014, he was the Head of Institutional Sales at a boutique firm focused on financing Mining companies. Having raised millions of dollars, both public and privately, Mr. Weir has expertise at evaluating and financing mining deals. Dan has managed large high tech electrical and energy management projects, having put himself through University as an Electrician. Dan graduated from University of Toronto.
