I forgot about lawn cutting, I did several houses, some I pushed the mower a few miles to get to. Also trimmed hedges, god way to make a buck. Me and my friends didn't even own snow shovels, 4 of us would go to houses with spade dirt shovels knock on the door and ask if they wanted the driveway shoveled. We would do it for like $20 bucks, 4 feet of snow sometimes on Long island, a spade shovel was the way to go anyway especially if your like 75 pounds. LOL Some people would have pity on us and let us use their snow shovels. Many Ignore jobs like that in my life. Gave me a solid work ethic, and a willingness to keep trying. Has served me well. Bought my first car and to this day my parents never got stuck paying a penny for gas of insurance or a repair on a car I owned. Still do almost all of my own work, plumbing, electrical, flooring, etc. I just got a new spa in my basement, redid the entire floor and wired the panel and hooked it up myself...who has a spa in their basement? I can because those days made me very resourceful. If I had to pay to have it all done it would be well out of my range.
