I have no problem with the ones that wish to flip and trade, but to sell at .05 and hope to buy back at .03 for a .02 gain..... not at this stage of the game !!!!
You can wake up one morning and..... BAM TO THE MOON IT GOES !!!
It happen to me with a biotech stock that I purchased in 1999.
Amyln Pharmaceutical with 2 drugs in their pipeline for Diabetes.
One was entering into Phase 3 studies and the other was completing Phase 2.
The drugs were Symlin for Type one Diabetes and Byetta was for Type 2 Diabetes.
J&J collaborated with them in 1995 and with Symlin but dropped out in 1998.
Studies wasn't completed in Phase 2 and needed additional studies which J&J decided to drop out. Stock took a hit !!!
Joe Cook the CEO at the time knew both drugs worked but J&J was rushing the titration study.
Joe Cook invested more of his money together with a private investor. Two months after they invested, Donald Rumfeld was added as Board of Director and had also invested.
Thats where I decided to double down with my investment...... this tool place in 1999
Several months after Rumsfeld was appointed BOD, Symlin successfully completed the Phase 2 trails.
Now with 2 drugs in Phase 3 trails, just quess what I surprisingly woke up to one morning!
A collaboration partnership with Eli Lilly which shot the stock up from $13.85 to over $30.00 ........ My entry point was $3.75 and added in with a cost average of $ 8.25
Both drugs got approved one month apart from each other in 2005 with a run up to $52.00
So my point is I'm a buy and hold investor..... you never know what can happen at anytime..
Know what you own. Flippers make your pennies, I'll wait for the big payoff
