I'm not exactly sure why she wanted it here, but somehow....when she makes a request.....I feel I have to listen..........
Blessed Be!
Truly living up to your alias (Lostintheflood) with THAT statement.
LOL, US Global Airways has ZERO intention of drawing from the Long Island area, and EVERY intention to draw from Manhattan, New Jersey, Westchester County, Connecticut, The Bronx.......all of those areas that have to travel HOURS to get to the EXTREMELY CONGESTED and HUGE LINES and WAIT TIMES at JFK and LGA.
You have to look at the demographics of these areas and what has been happening in recent years. The wealthy that work in Manhattan......who used to either live in Manhattan or in the suburbs on Long Island.....have begun moving North of the city and settling there. Woodbury Commons (the outlet mall) is just 1 exit south of NY International Airport. It is....for good reason...."One of the Largest Outlet Centers IN THE WORLD", has "The Finest Collection of Upscale Outlet Stores in the US", and has annual sales of over $1.3 billion dollars. (“A good mall typically does north of $600 to $700 a square foot, while Woodbury does $1,550, so this is a pretty big number,” said Marc Frankel, senior managing director at the broker Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Retail). Woodbury Commons is also "THE FAVORITE shopping destination for Chinese and Japanese tourists".
Did someone say "international flights to Asia" as well?
Might I also mention LEGO LAND and 4 CASINOS within driving distance, and the Port Authority's commitment to run regular shuttle buses from the airport and to these various destinations!
Yeah, baby. This is YUGE!
