Trump Proposes Slashing His Own Taxes Bigly!

Apr 27, 2017 — To no one's surprise, President Trump's tax reform plan, announced yesterday, will likely be a windfall for him, his family, his wealthy friends and businesses. The average family? Not so much.
Here's how the New York Times described it:
"Two of Mr. Trump’s top lieutenants — Steven Mnuchin and Gary Cohn, both multimillionaires and former Goldman Sachs bankers — trotted out a plan that would slash taxes for businesses and wealthy families, including Mr. Trump’s, in the vague hope of propelling economic growth. So as to not seem completely venal, they served up a few goodies for the average wage-earning family, among them fewer and lower tax brackets and a higher standard deduction."
From what we heard yesterday, all businesses would be taxed at a rate of 15% and they would likely pay much less if gaping tax loopholes aren't closed (don't hold your breath). The savings to the Trump family and other wealthy families would be enormous, while savings for average families would appear to be modest or nonexistent.
And that "vague hope of propelling economic growth?" Well, every time the GOP has slashed taxes for businesses and the rich (think Reagan and George W. Bush), the country has run up a YUGE deficit and the economy has failed to grow anywhere near what was projected. Businesses, en masse, DID NOT CREATE MORE JOBS that "trickled down" to enrich average families. As a result, key federal programs were targeted by the GOP for big cuts, particularly those helping the poor -- kind of a reverse Robin Hood scenario.
WE NEED TO SEE TRUMP'S TAX RETURNS so we can calculate exactly how much he will benefit from his proposed tax plan, while the "little people" wait for crumbs to drop from the fat wallets of the wealthy.
