PACER update: Minute Entry for proceedings held
Post# of 15187
Minute Entry for proceedings held before Magistrate Judge Gary R. Brown:Status Conference held on 4/24/2017. Robert Johnson counsel for plaintiff present. Matthew Veal defendant pro se present on Telephone. No appearance for Hanover Joe's, defendant in default. Motion to be submitted. Rulings placed on the record. (Tape #2:25-2:33.) (McMorrow, Karen)
Here's where I am guessing this goes. HJOE defaulted. A motion will be submitted for default and a win for KBM. HJOE must pay KBM the note plus legal limit on interest.
Veal was present on phone, going individually after KBM in the counter suit. KBM will be forced into discovery and perhaps trial, unless they settle with Veal. HJOE loses, but HJOE wins. No shares to be found as they are dark. We wait, and it sucks, but our shares are protected when they come back.
Meanwhile HJOE continues to build revenue. They could conceivably hold off paying KBM for whatever time is granted by the judge allowing for more income. They continue to fight for the counter and in that time build even more revenue.
With that revenue, opportunities exist to fix the share structure. Opportunities exist to expand the role of Happy Jacks. Opportunities exit to bring on more dealers. Opportunities exit to expand into more US States and CK operation expansion.
Am I pleased that it is taking this long. No. Am I encouraged that these guys have a plan of attack and plan on following through for investors while protecting their shares. Yes.
